28"x40"" Oil on Linen Beautiful giclee prints are available.
Not an easy animal to paint! As I did not gather this reference material myself, I had to pour
over tons of photos, visit taxidermy shops, and finally come up with his features, fur pattern etc. I do
hope I did the graceful White Tail justice. The whole point of this painting is to "startle" the viewer.
It's an in yer face piece!
This Whitetail Deer painting has received quite an honor. The Central Florida Whitetail Expo
is using this on the cover of their newsletter! I love it. The border has pressed weeds into it to give it a very earthy feel. The original is in a private collection.
