| Announcements! I'm working with the Jane Goodall Institute to create a wonderful painting for Jane's 50th anniversary with the Chimps! Jane Goodall has been one of my heroes all of my life. While she was studying Chimpanzees I was drawing and studying our family's retrievers. Any port in the storm I say! Dad thought I was weird cause I could just stare at them for hours and hours until I saw what Jane was doing. It gave meaning to my life and now I can give back. Be watching for details. The new and beautiful gallery is open in South Lake Tahoe! Look for it in the Raley's shopping center just south of the old location. It's amazing and quite large with rock walls and fountains! My work and prints are ONLY available thru the listed galleries on this site. In this crazy world we live in, be careful not to collect a poor copy of my work thru an unauthorized outlet! Below is my latest original. It is titled, "Devotion". This is Abde and Wendy. Abde is the caregiver at David Sheldrick's Wildlife Trust Elephant Orphanage. This original has been entered into Artists for Conservation's yearly show and I should know soon as to whether it has been accepted. It will be available for purchase thru this online show with 50% of the profits being donated to our orphaned elephant sisters and brothers. |

- Wild Animals This includes animals & scenes from North America including Yellowstone, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe and the Sierras with the animals being elk, deer, cougars, big cats, and soon many more.
- Equine Art Val's portraits and paintings of horses are quite detailed and exquisite.
- Portraits After many, many hours at her easel in front of live models her skill at painting them is reaching her vision of just how beautiful the human is.
- Waterfowl Raised in the flyway of California, daughter of an avid hunter, Val's heart and history is in the water, cat tails, and birds of the world and flyways.
- Landscapes Mostly done on location, "Plein Air" the color, mood, time of day & year and temperature are all very clear in her paintings of the west
